The TLT Group’s Cognitive Science Book Discussion Series was well received though I don’t think we had 30 million people involved. We will finish the series during FridayLive! when we discuss “Mr Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore.” See more information about this event here.

So what should we read next?

React to some options and give us so new choices via the survey below. You are also welcome to attend a planning meeting on Wednesday at 3:00 PM ET.  More information can be found here.

Now is a great time to become a member of the TLT Group!
The TLT Group continues to encourage, empower, and engage:
  • Those who are already successful educators and know what still matters most.
  • Those who are pressed by their own enthusiasm or external forces to improve teaching and learning with technology - to begin teaching more online.
  • Those who are looking for help with the next steps - eagerly, reluctantly, fearfully.

By becoming a member or donating to the TLT Group you will help us continue this work.

Book #3 is fiction written by Robin Sloan. 2013)  Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, Picador, New York, NY.It's a novel which deals (colorfully and rivetingly) with the clash between so-called Old Knowledge (books) and New Knowledge (internet and other virtual forms of communication). Not only that, it's a great read--funny, swashbuckling, and serious by turns.

We encourage you to access the book and read it prior to the session. Of course, you can always join the conversation and later read the book. Purchase the book HERE
